I drive past five different lakes in my 14 mile commute to work. Coming home today I was so excited to see open water. There was still some ice floating here and there on a couple of the lakes, but for the most part all of them have open water. To me this really signifies spring is here! YEAH!
On the writing side of things…
The Long and Short of It reviewed A Wife for Big John and gave it FIVE (5) BOOKS! Reviewer Camellia says, “A WIFE FOR BIG JOHN is one to keep so when life is “too-much with us”, we can read it again and escape for a time to the timber land of Minnesota to get our faith in humanity reaffirmed. This Happy-Ever-After story reminds me why I love to read romance.” View the entire review here.
And…Here is the cover for Shotgun Bride, the first book in The Quinter Brides series. Every time I get a new cover I proclaim it as my favorite!
Shotgun Bride
Like most girls, Jessie Johnson will never forget the first time she met her mother-in-law. After all who can forget a shotgun pointed at them? Bartered for a dead horse at gun point, she either agrees to marry one of the Quinter boys or her brother will hang for horse theft. Jessie knows nothing about being a wife- other than the wedding will likely put her new husband in grave danger.
After being knocked unconscious by his brothers, Kid Quinter finds himself surrounded by his uncouth family, the sheriff, a preacher, and an adorable young woman. Tied to a chair, he's given no choice but to marry Jessie Johnson. And that’s just the beginning of his troubles- it appears his pretty little wife has quite a past, including a notorious gunslinger looking for retribution.
